Sophisticated Overnight Branch Link Programs have been developed to provide enhanced control for those companies who operate more than one location.
System Outline details as follows:-
( DAILY BASIS )
STEP 1 Branch selects "Communications" mode in initial start-up menu. Modem and Machine are left switched on with tape in tape streamer.
STEP 2 Head Office PC auto dials remote Branch's PC via modem at pre-selected time.
STEP 3 Remote Branch transfers details of its daily activities to Head Office via modem. Such as: - invoices/credits/transfers/returns - purchase orders/stock receipts - stock balances/sales receipts/bankings
- ledger trails (incl nominal) / memos - options such as unallocated sales ledger receipts and file maintenance
STEP 4 Remote Branch awaits second connection from Head Office.
STEP 5 Head Office PC updates and analyses data from Branches. Transfer log file display is produced.
STEP 6 Head Office PC redials remote Branches PCs again in turn, via modem, and transfers items such as:-
- stock balances at other Branches/stock on order
- file maintenance/pricing/stock/customers/suppliers/nominal - memos/utilities/purchase orders Head Office PC then performs Backup.
STEP 7 Branch PCs process information from Head Office and then perform automatic Backup.
OPTION The WINASSET System is able to do an immediate transfer and back up from a Branch at any time during the day upon command if required.
